How to set up your email in Outlook 2002/2003:

  1. Start Outlook, on the Tools menu click E-mail Accounts.

  2. Select Add a new email account from the Email heading, click Next.

  3. Select POP3 from the list of Server Types, click Next.

  4. In the User Information fields, enter your full name and email address.
In the Server Information fields, enter your domain (ie. mail.YOUR_DOMAIN.COM) for both (POP3) and (SMTP), substituting YOUR_DOMAIN.COM with your actual domain name.
    * Please note that some internet service providers (ISPs), such as Bell Sympatico, don't allow you to use your own SMTP server for sending email. If you have problems sending email after setting things up, please contact your ISP to find out the SMTP server that you should use.
In the Logon Information fields enter your email address for your User Name and then enter the password that applies to your specific email account. If you don't want to enter your password every time you open Outlook click the "Remember Password" check box.
    Click Next.

  5. Finally, click Finish. You have successfully configured Outlook 2002. You should now try sending and receiving email to your account to make sure everything is set up properly.
